Where would you find the Best Brewery?

On Sligo Food Trail of course

“Best Overall Brewery” is quite some accolade and we’re thrilled to announce it has been awarded to the White Hag Brewery on the Sligo Food Trail. The award is part of the Beer of the Year competition run by Beoir. This is the sixth year of the awards but first time they have selected a Best Brewery making it a serious honour for in Ballymote based brewery.

Better still, White Hag’s “Little Fawn” IPA (Indian Pale Ale for the uninitiated!) was first runner up in the Beer of the Year. Quite a haul for White Hag who produce a remarkably wide range of big, bold and beautifully flavoured beers using locally sourced raw materials. They are pretty nimble on their brewing feet too, producing special brews like their spicy Christmas Ale, redolent of ginger, honey and cinnamon. For Valentine’s Day, the beer lover in your life will adore the neatly packaged six pack with a free glass. Six of their best – and the choice is yours.

Beoir is an independent group of consumers with a primary goal of supporting and raising awareness of Ireland’s native independent microbreweries.
