Well done to the two wonderful brewers on Sligo Food Trail who have scooped an impressive six medals between them in the Dublin Craft Beer Cup. The awards were made at the Alltech Craft Brewers Festival which took place from 23-25 February 2017 and features an impressive array of 400+ craft beers.

The White Hag Brewery won a gold medal for the Black Boar Imperial Oatmeal Stout and bronze medals for three of their other beers – Bean Gulban Irish Heather Sour, Róc Modern Oils Lager and Meabh Rua Irish Bog Ale.

Lough Gill Brewery scored two silver medals for their Imperial Oatmeal Coffee Cream Stout and Mac Nutty.

The Dublin Craft Beer Cup is a competition, which allow craft brewers to showcase their brews to have them rated, tasted and analysed by an expert, international panel of judges. Award-winning brewers received prestigious gold, silver and bronze medals in eight different categories of beer, establishing the best examples of each. Entrants to the Dublin Craft Beer Cup are critiqued based on appearance, aroma, flavour, body, style and quality.

Congratulations to both Lough Gill and The White Hag Breweries.
