The Harvest Feast last Friday night was truly a triumph for Sligo Food Trail and the nearly 50 members who were involved. The feedback has been absolutely wonderful and it is being acclaimed as an outstanding achievement by one and all.
From the moment guests walked in the door, they were bowled over by the reception they received. The canapés and drinks were just wonderful and the musical accompaniment from the Sligo Academy of Music perfect. The banqueting room was sumptuously set up, the Radisson Blu really outdid themselves and it was a credit to them. Kieran Quinn and Gerry Grennan provided delightful music throughout the night.
And the menu … what a menu it was. A true celebration of the most wonderful food prepared by the most wonderful chefs. It was truly outstanding. No wonder each chef received a thunderous applause as they announced their dish. Well done Joe Shannon (Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa), Alan Fitzmaurice (The Glasshouse), Marcin Szczodrowski (Eala Bhán Restaurant), Lee Mastin (The Draft House Gastro Pub), Paul Monaghan (FEED Café & Restaurant), Eva Hourihan (Anderson’s Grill and Bar) and Marc Gabbidon (The Embassy Restaurant). Thanks also to David Dunne (Knox) who represented Fabio Boni from Fabio’s Homemade Italian Ice Cream who was unable to join us on the night.
Thank you to all the members of Sligo Food Trail, their friends and family who came along on the night. Thank you to the Radisson Blu Hotel and all the staff who accommodated us in every way possible and contributed so much to the success of this wonderful night.
