As Chair of Sligo Food Trail I’m delighted to offer this new initiative to our members of Sligo Food Trail.
We at are delighted to team up with Sligo’s local Hospitality Career Trainee- ship MSLETB Ballytivnan, this is a wonderful opportunity for our unemployed local young people to gain a new skills or up-skill in the industry. There are currently 16 participants on the program in Sligo. They are local people that have chosen the hospitality industry as their career direction.
As part of their development the trainees split their time between training in the purpose built facility at the MSLETB Ballytivnan, and on the job training with a host business. This is an excellent opportunity for the area businesses to support the growth of a new generation of service professionals by passing on their knowledge and passion for excellent service. The time spent with a host business allows the trainees to experience the personal fulfilment from being part of the guest’s overall experience.
MSLETB are currently looking for businesses to take on trainees for work placement from Monday 12th December to Friday 23rd December and would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide.
There is a 1 hour briefing for all of the host hotels and restaurants taking place on Thursday 15th December @ 2pm in the MSLETB training centre. If you have any questions feel free contact me and I’ll give you as much information as I can
Regards
