This Saturday we’re treated to a bonus day, 29th February. The perfect excuse to treat yourself this weekend, with a visit to the markets – Sligo Farmers Market on Saturday and Strandhill Peoples Market and Cliffoney Country Market on Sunday.

Two of our Markets reopen after a well-deserved break.

First, Strandhill People’s Market will reopen on Sunday 1st March from 11am to 4pm.

This market takes place in the quirky and unique venue of Hangar 1 at Sligo Airport in Strandhill. Its location means you are just a short distance from the beachfront if you fancy a stroll after. At this market you will find a display of local crafts, speciality food stalls and textiles. Pick up your fresh fruit and veg before heading inside for home baked goods, fair trade coffee, freshly pressed juices, cheeses, herbs & spices, teas, and fresh meat and vegetables. Plenty on offer for those who fancy a Sunday treat with a choice of cakes, cupcakes, handmade chocolates and more. All of this accompanied by live music from local musicians every week.

Next, Rathcormac Craft Market will reopen on Saturday 7th March from 10am to 3pm.

The market is located in Rathcormac Craft Village which is also home to Vintage Lane Café. Enjoy delicious food, locally sourced veg, hampers, unique and bespoke crafts, art and natural skincare products including handmade soaps and balms.

Feel free to visit all the markets on the Sligo Food Trail and support our local producers and small businesses.

Every Saturday

The Sligo Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday from 9am to 1pm. At this genuine Farmer’s Market you will find a display of premium quality organic fruit and veg of the season plus free range eggs, homemade apple tarts and other baked treats.

Beltra Country Market also opens every Saturday but at the new time of 10.30am to 12.30pm in Beltra Hall. Along with delicious, fresh baked goods you will find homemade preserves, locally grown fruit and vegetables and a variety of crepés made to order. Keep an eye out for crafts and workshops for both kids and adults.
