Mothers do a lot for their children, but when people reminisce about their childhood, it’s amazing how often their “mammy’s cooking” crops up. Shell’s Café on the seafront in Strandhill has lobster on the brain for Sunday. They’re putting on a lovely, and rather classy, Lobster Benedict and a delicious Lobster Bisque. Perfect for the surfing and non-surfing Mums out there.
Laura’s of Carney have a special menu which they are serving from 12.30pm. It’s just €22.95 a person and is sure to be booked out.
At Cawley’s in Tubbercurry you’ll find a lovely full lunch menu on offer. Three courses are just 17.50 or four courses €22.50. All the Mums get a complimentary glass of wine – because they’re worth it of course.
Back in Strandhill Trá Bán has a special Mother’s Day menu at just €24.95. Lunch is served from 12-4pm so it’s perfect for early birds or if you’re running a bit late!
The Sligo Park Hotel’s restaurant boasts the coveted AA Rosette Award and on Sunday even has some of Mammy’s own dishes on their menu – how does Mum’s Pear & Apple Crumble sound? They offer a special 3 course Mother’s Day lunch menu for just €25.
