All four of our fabulous markets are open for business this weekend and you’re guaranteed a great day out at Beltra Country Market, Cliffoney Country Market, Rathcormac Artisan Food & Craft Market or Sligo People’s Market. Sligo’s location on the Wild Atlantic Way is a magnet for producers, growers, bakers, crafters and artists. Our markets are where they all come together for you to enjoy.

Beltra Market

Beltra Country Market takes place in Beltra Hall on Saturday from 10am and serves the Skreen/Dromard/Beltra area of Sligo.

It’s a profusion of stalls selling fresh garden produce, plants, preserves, home baking and eggs as well as lots of local crafts. Beltra also runs regular events and workshops so you never know what you’ll find when you drop in. Don’t miss the tearoom for a refreshing cuppa while you’re there.

Rathcormac Artisan Food & Craft Market

This Saturday morning, indulge in fresh bread, delicious preserves by Murson Farm when you visit Rathcormac Artisan Food & Craft Market (10am – 3pm) in Branley’s Yard, Rathcormac. It’s just 5 minutes from Sligo on the main N15 Donegal Road. There’s a cornucopia of the freshest vegetables, fruit and herbs – all in season of course, because they’re all local. You’ll find preserves and mouth-watering baked goods plus all manner of readymade meals.

Strandhill People’s Market

Strandhill People’s Market opens its doors once again this Sunday after a well-deserved winter break. You’ll find it in the unique setting of Hangar 1 at Strandhill Airport. It’s a fusion of speciality foods, local artisans, fresh produce and baked delights with a background of live music. The whole experience is very child friendly and you can even bring your dog along too (just not inside the hangar building).  Strandhill People’s Market really is more than just a market. Put it in your diary for Sunday 3rd March from 11am-4pm.

Keep an eye out later in the year too for the fabulous Strandhill Food Festival with food, fun and entertainment for everyone in the family.

Cliffoney Country Market

Check out Cliffoney Country Market on Sunday in Cliffoney Village Hall from 11am-1pm.  It takes place on the first and third Sundays of each month. You’ll find local producers, growers, bakers and of course a friendly welcome as well as a live traditional music session featuring local musicians.

No matter which market you choose (and they’re close enough to allow a visit to them all!), you’ll get a great cup of coffee and something delicious to go with it as well as some seriously interesting food and craft shopping. If you’re not at the markets – you’re missing out!
